PostSubject: Idea for more guild structure   Fri Apr 27, 2007 8:26 pm

I've been thinking that I might add a few more ranks, and delegate specific responsibilities to members who wanted them.

The general roles I was thinking about would be:

Diplomat - Responsible for negotiating and building alliances with other guilds: still looking

Armourer - Responsible for ensuring members are properly equipped: Xard & RagingT

Recruiter - Responsible for getting new members into the guild: Still looking

Banker - Currently filled by Bersh

Any ideas/thoughts/comments, post them up, I want to hear what you folks think about this idea.....

That are some good suggestions, i say.

What about an attack force, a group that personaly takes out those people that are mass-attacking our members?

I would like to be a recruiter if you would allow it, i have a few people at school that need a guild, they are between lvl 10 and 20, but very active just like me drunken

Uh huh, the PvP squad was something I was contemplating, but maybe once we increase in size a bit more it would be easier to run.

Also with the current setup, just placing a bounty (you could ask for extra gold if you want) and mentioning it in guild chat would probably work pretty well, a bounty can destroy a persons xp pretty fast.

Nonetheless, something to think about.

What ground rules did you have in mind R? Level limits, contributions etc?

Any other suggestions anyone?

Nice ideas Kryp. As far as the Armourer role is concerned, as i understand it anyway, he will be responsible on informing fellow guild members on their options regarding their equipment on their current level. I think that he must have a minor responsibility on the guild store as well, mainly the ability to clear the room if he sees an item is in the guild store when it is either easy to find through loot or Auction House or the item is just a 3rd or 4th option in equipment selection so it wouldn't have to be in the guild store in the first place.
Another idea on guild roles is Guild Trader, a person who will have the task of scouting the AH for deals and bargains on highly sought items that can benefit the guild members. The guild Trader will work together with the Armourer on the items needed plus other guild members may enhance his trading ability by contributing a low sum of gold to him each day. For example it costs me (lvl 35) almost nothing to send the Trader 1-2k per day but if 20 players send him an average of 50k g that would make a nice negotiating power on the items needed. People who would qualify for the role of guild trader would be a) those who are trully loyal to the guild, primarily those that want to stick to the guild no matter what and have already contributed a great deal on xp, money and FSPs, b) those who already have a high enough number on auction places so it will make things easier, c) those who have knowledge on the price of most items and have a knack of "auction stealing" at the last seconds of an auction, d) those who have a nick starting with Rag and ending with ingT (j/k of course but somehow I think Rage would be very suited for this kind of thing rendeer sunny )

Genius kel.

I like the idea of the armourer and an auction specialist working together, I had thought about assigning a player the 'auctioneer' role, but I hadn't thought of co-operation.

Whoever takes up the armourer role is obviously going to need to be pretty well-versed in the best kit for each level etc, i'm not sure who would be keen on taking that on. Any volunteers?

Raging, would you be up for a trader role?

As to the gold contributions, I thought it would be less risky for members to provide the trader with funds as and when necessary, to reduce the risk of PvP, although I suppose a couple of well-placed personal bank deposits would be better.

I would also be willing to toss the trader some fsp for guild equipment if it's justified.

well, even though i have "inly" 5 auction slots i can manage equiptment pretty well. and i can sure scouer for deals. however, i forgot most of the good items for low levels by now, so compiling a list of harder things that are best bought on AL it'll be good. however, i think that a gold trader should have a cerberus - thunder setup, or another highly defensive one. my FSP dealings are pretty safe Smile

I'll toss you a few fsp to up your AH slots if you want the role.

As to the gold trader, that's why I thought co-ordinating a couple of guild deposits into their personal bank would be a good plan. That way the gold is safe and can be withdrawn when needed......

Diplomat

Recruiter
^

above the two title i thought we don't need it,that is surely nothing benefit for our guild,we now just relay on luck we don't know who is good who is bad who is active or who not,i think even add a title on this,it still nothing change Neutral

Armourer
^
this should be great, honestly i don't seen most of us keen on help each other about take a proper equitment, some kind of reason is we don't have time to play,no much time check all our menber what stuff is he truely want or isn't it proer~and one other is the lv gap is too wide i truely frogot what i use in 10~30lv,so can that will be great to find some dedicate in cope this(and we already have a rank call arm dealer,i think we place this on that can don't need waste 10fsp) Exclamation

Wow, way to burst the bubble D lol!

Diplomat: Useful because I am far too lazy to build alliances and it stops us from getting PvPed

Recruiter: Useful to have someone who actually goes out and actively searches for decent level players. I'm not saying you have to do it D, but it would be nice if someone who had the time could.

Armourer: I thought I would work on building a general guide to good kit for the levels and the armourer could just work from that. members could add suggestions as they passed levels and I could just edit into the original post.

10fsp is not a big deal, and I changed Arms dealer to tyrant.

Guild ranks will have negative titles, it's a theme. Mastermind is the only one that isn't so obvious, but it still has negative connotations. Anyways.....

What I'm thinking is that I'll do this soon.

I know these jobs get done anyway but the idea is that structured roles will be a good thing for the guild, IMO it will help members know who they should be speaking to about things and make the guild more efficient. If you disagree for whatever reason, post it up. Don't worry about the 10fsp cost for the ranks, you won't be paying it.

My ideas for roles/ranks:

Diplomat

Recruiter

Armourer/auctioneer (one player or two, either way is good)

Banker (to organise the guild banking)

I figured I'd try to knock out as many offers as possible in the next few days so I can help members fill their roles.

I'd be happy to help the auctioneer up their AH slots and maybe even get an extra dep or so for the banker, depending on how things go.

I suppose the big question is whether anyone actually want to do any of these jobs.......

Yup, I know it'll kind of need two options, fsp or cheap basically.

Wish I had a decent version of excel or word, it would be way easier to make a table....anyway, I'll try to start it later tonight or tomorrow as I have a day off

About the positions, i would like to be Armourer/Auctioneer. As i have been file-ing all the good builds i have had, and this will be a good benifit for our future members.

Who was the 1st one, RagingT i thought? Would be cool if we could work together Smile

i'll hear it soon enough Razz

PS: @RagingT, +25 isnt a noob anymore, no a pro either though scratch

Ow, about the FSP, i am seriously making profit atm, after klugore haelped me i gained over 150FSP, and made a profit of 13FSP in the auction last night Very Happy
